Simon Chang, currently the Senior Group Director of Cadence Asia-Pacific & Japan Regions System Solutions group, leads a task force and drives key technologies to Top 10 fabless design companies in Asia-Pacific & Japan regions.

He is devoted to the AI technology deployment for SoC design, verification, and high- speed digital implementation. Aligning to Cadence corporate strategy “Intelligent System Design” to modern design and based on the demands in the market, lead a team of experts to actively cooperate with the strategic partners and the R&D team and develop the best solutions in the application field; at the same time, enable customers to achieve actual successes on the projects.

Joined Cadence for 20+ years, specializing in AI design platform and advanced verification methodology, from application processor architecture and its implementation, IP verification, simulation acceleration, verification quality improvement and convergence. The solutions have been well adopted by top customers in the industries of Hyperscale Server Chip, AI, 5G, Automotive and Image Processing.

More than 25 years in Semiconductor industry. Graduated from the Electrical Engineering Department of Sun Yat-Sen University with a master's degree.

We are currently experiencing an AI Supercycle encompassing three horizons: Infrastructure AI, Physical AI, and Sciences AI. This keynote will unveil a visionary perspective on AI-driven semiconductor and system design, highlighting the convergence of technological domains and the transformative role of AI in enhancing design processes. The talk will share Cadence's remarkable transformation journey, offering valuable insights into how AI is revolutionizing design processes. It will explore the evolution of AI through three phases: enabling AI infrastructure, transforming existing solutions, and unlocking new market opportunities. Advanced tools such as LLM-Based AI and Optimization AI will be showcased, emphasizing significant advancements and opportunities within the EDA domain.

The AI solutions include the Foundational LLM Copilot, AI-Enhanced Design Engines, and Agentic AI Solutions, which provide intelligent design acceleration, deep reasoning, and smart search capabilities. Optimization AI Tools substantially reduce design time and enhance efficiency, with detailed comparisons of productivity improvements and power efficiency metrics. Additionally, the discussion will cover LLM-Based AI with the Cadence JedAI platform, highlighting data integration and AI platform capabilities. Critical AI technologies, including principled simulation, optimization, and accelerated compute, will be featuring various hardware and software tools that elevate AI-driven design processes.
