Michael Rieger helped pioneer model-based OPC in the early 1990s as the co-founder of Precim Corporation, established for developing the Proteus OPC tool, which is now a Synopsys product. Mike retired from Synopsys in 2018, where he last served as chief technologist for the Silicon Engineering Group. His prior work included laser mask writer engineering at ATEQ corporation, and computer graphics hardware development at Tektronix. Mike is an SPIE fellow and a life member of IEEE.
