Dr. Alberto Cagliani obtained his Ph. D. in microelectronics from the Technical University of Denmark in 2012. After several years in academia working on sensing applications of novel 2D materials, he joined Capres A/S as industrial Post. Doc. Since 2017, he is leading Capres A/S (a KLA company since 2019) R&D activities for current in plane tunnelling measurements on magnetic tunnel junction samples, contributing both on the algorithm and MEMS microprobe designs. He authored more than 20 peer reviewed papers within the fields of resonating MEMS, 2D materials and microprobe technology for electrical characterization. He also authored three patents (two still pending) aimed at improving microprobe based CIPT measurements on magnetic tunnel junctions.
