Jonathan is an R&D Director for Synopsys Corporation out of their North Carolina USA office. He is leading a worldwide team focused on the Synopsys tools for IC (integrated circuit) design verification and reliability. His 25+ years in the Electronic Design Automation industry began with work as a software developer, and has included various R&D management, business development and marketing roles. His expertise is primarily in Place & Route and Physical Verification and includes two patented algorithms. In addition to his R&D work, Jonathan is passionate about recruiting, hiring and mentoring new college hires at Synopsys. Jonathan’s work with students has led to him being on the Industry Advisory Board for two universities as well as for the ECE Department Head Association.
Jonathan received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University in 1991 and his Master of Science in Computer Engineering in North Carolina State University in 1994.
