讲师简介 / Speaker Bio Dr. Gao is the CTO of AXT, a NASDAQ public traded company headquartered in Silicon Valley. Dr. Gao founded Axcel Photonics and served as CEO/CTO. He was faculty at Peking University in Physics Department, received Ph.D degree from University of Delaware in Electrical Engineering Department. Dr.Gao has over 20 years' working experience in compound semiconductor field with expertise in semiconductor lasers, MBE growth, MOCVD growth and substrates. Published over 50 technical papers and has 38 patents in multiple countries. 摘要 / Abstract In a world of increasing connectivity, compound semiconductor materials including gallium arsenide (GaAs), indium phosphide (InP) and germanium (Ge) have emerged as key enablers offering superior performance in high frequency data connections and high performance sensors. In this talk, AXT will explore some of the potential applications for InP and GaAs, and some of the substrate challenges that have needed to be addressed to meet the demands of these emerging markets. AXT has positioned itself as the world leader in InP, GaAs and Ge substrates, with the highest quality and largest manufacturing capacity in China. We will discuss cutting edge developments in substrate manufacturing that will unlock new performance frontiers enabling the connected world through new applications in data connectivity, sensing and displays. |
